WHERE I WORK:

  • Sales Representative

All Media Supply is a one stop distributor supplying retail businesses, more specifically, record stores, with over 500,000 products ranging from music, books & more!

  • Sales Associate / …Daughter

Slipped Disc Records was located in Valley Stream, NY. It was one of Long Island's longest running record stores, owned and operated by my dad, Mike Schutzman. Slipped Disc specialized in heavy metal, punk, and hardcore records. But also carried a large selection of CD’s DVDs, shirts, posters, pins and books. I was born in 1990 and grew up in and around the store until I was eventually old enough to become part of the sales team. Slipped Disc closed in April 2008, when I was 18. Mike still sells a wide variety of Metal and Punk LP’s at record shows all over the east coast. He also organizes and promotes the Vinyl Revolution Record Show that he runs in Astoria, Queens and Garden City, NY. Visit the Slipped Disc site for merch and archives full of In-Store photos and flyers from the 80’s and 90’s!

  • NOW A PROUD MEMBER OF THE WiV STREET TEAM!

    Women in Vinyl works to:

Inspire, and create role models to support minorities of all kinds within the community in finding their way to the vinyl industry with purpose and not by chance.

Support and empower women, female-identifying, non-binary, LGBTQ+, BIPOC and otherwise marginalized people working in the vinyl industry from cutting engineers, and record labels, to pressing plants, and those running or working in record stores; by showcasing their successes and providing a place for them to connect, network, and share their experiences and advice.

Support career development, and provide tools to help those working in the field advance in their career; to expand opportunities in these fields and to share resources and knowledge through demystification, education, collaboration, and diversity.
